Another selection tool you ll find useful for drawing is Free Select, also called the Lasso tool, from its Toolbox icon. The Lasso lets you draw a freehand selection of any shape (Figure 4-17). Just outline your shape in the image, and end somewhere near where you started, and GIMP will make a closed curve. You can treat it just like you would a rectangular or elliptical selection. It offers the same antialiasing and feather options as the other selection tools.
